She completed her BSN at the Gulhane military medical academy, Turkey and her MSN at the Near East University, Cyprus and PhD at the Hacettepe University, Turkey. Currently, she is a  lecturer at Ankara University Faculty of Nursing,  Department of Midwifery. Before she had been a faculty member, she worked at Yasam  Hospital (attached to the North Cyprus Ministry of Health) as maternity nurse and gynecology  nurse for 3 years. She is member of Turkish Nurses Association, Nursing, Sexual Health Education And Counseling Association
