Dr. Shannon Bowling is a physical therapist by background and works as a Professional Development Specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Bowling received her initial physical therapy training at Duke University, and her doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. As a professional development specialist, she ensures that the therapy services teams across the organization have the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent patient outcomes. Dr. Bowling is an educator supporting the Fall Prevention Task Force, patient safe handling program, Geriatric Council, and Preceptor program. Collaboration across disciplines is a cornerstone of Dr. Bowling’s approach to clinical education. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and reading.
