About Fatma Uslu Sahan, PhD, RN Assistant Professor
She completed her BSN at the Ankara University, Turkey and her MSN and PhD at the Hacettepe University, Turkey. Currently, she is a assistant professor at Hacettepe University Faculty of Nursing, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing. Before she had been a faculty member, she worked at Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Research and Education Hospital (attached to the Turkish Ministry of Health) as maternity nurse and gynecology oncology nurse for 2 years. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing, Alabama, United States (June 2015- October, 2015) and received a certificate “Independent Study in Doctoral Studies in Palliative Care and Interprofessional Simulation Based Team Training with Clinical Simulation”. Her area of interests are perinatology, gynecologic oncology, palliative care nursing and simulation-based nursing education and interprofessional education. She is member of Turkish Nurses Association, Turkish Oncology Nursing Society (studies in Palliative Care Nursing Subgroup and Gynecologic Oncology Nursing Subgroup), Turkish Women’s Health Nursing Association and Palliative Care Network.
