About Leticia Esau, PhD, RN, PHN
Leticia Esau PhD RN PHN serves as the Administrator of Health Services for the Riverside County Office of Education. Leticia currently provides support to all school districts within Riverside County to ensure optimal student health for students in Pre-K-12th grades. She is active in various committees including Early Education collaborative for San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, the Physician and School Nurse collaborative for Riverside County, and the School Nurse collaborative for San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
Leticia Esau has served as an Assistant Professor for Public Health Nursing in the BSN/RN program at West Coast University since 2016 and received recognition that year for most innovate professor. She has been a registered nurse since 2012, initially working as a school nurse. During that time, she discovered her love of public health working with children with special needs, and children of lower socio-economic status. Leticia received recognition for extraordinary service while working with this vulnerable population.
Leticia obtained her RN licensure and bachelor’s degree from California Baptist University. She obtained a Master of Science in Nursing degree with an emphasis in Leadership and Management from Walden University. Leticia obtained a Doctorate in Public Health with an emphasis on Health Advocacy and Leadership from Capella University in 2022. Her research focused on the social inequities of the LGBTQ+ group, and the disparities they face in the educational setting.
