About Ms. Angélica Aponte López
She has a degree in Experimental Biologist from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM, Mexico). She completed his degree thesis in the laboratory of PhD. Gabriela López Herrera, a researcher at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP, México).
She holds a Master’s degree in Experimental Biology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM, México), carrying out her thesis project under the mentorship of Dr. Francisco Vianney Ortíz Navarrete, researcher and immunologist from the Molecular Biomedicine department of the Centro de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (CINVESTAV, IPN). Later she worked for 1 year as a research technician, supporting this important researcher.
Ms. Angélica Aponte is currently investigating the role of mast cells in the biology of breast cancer, in order to obtain the degree of PhD on Biomedical Sciences. She works under the direction of Dr. Ezequiel Fuentes Pananá, a researcher at the Hospital Infantil de México-Federico Gómez (HIMFG).
During the development of his research project she has taken courses in molecular biology, biostatistics, bioinformatics, immunology and other selected subjects with the aim of having a continuous specialization.
