Dr. Subramanian’s research is in the fields of cancer biology and novel therapeutic development. As a faculty at the University of Minnesota, he has established an internationally recognized research program focused on understanding microRNA regulatory networks in cancer development and progression. His current research focuses on understanding the interactions between the immune system and cancer and how cancer cells manipulate the anti-tumor immune response.  Dr. Subramanian is an author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has written numerous book chapters and review articles. He is the Section Editor-in-Chief of Vaccines journal and Associate Editor of Frontiers in Genetics and the Molecular Biosciences journals and serves on the Editorial Board of several journals including Scientific Reports and Cancers.
